Hi everyone. It is the end of Day 2 in Gambia, we have had a very productive day. We have spent pretty much all day at the hotel and the conference room.

We've met our Gambian counterparts and our youth leaders that we're going to be working with in the schools for our project and also the youth leaders for the other groups that are going to different places over the next couple of weeks, which has been really amazing to get their perspective of things and to support us on our projects.

And they have some really great local knowledge that has really helped us ensure that our project is manageable and achievable in these schools. Next week we're going to be working in a private school and then the week after the state school.

So it's been really interesting to learn about the differences between the two schools. In the private school there's around 25 or 30 children in a class, and in the state school there's about 50 to 60 children in a class, so we've had to do some adapting to make sure our project's suitable for both groups and sizes.

We've been teaching each other different games – English games like Cross the Golden River, Tag and Stuck in the Mud, and they've been teaching us some really amazing traditional Gambian games.

Tomorrow we want to get a proper insight into what it's like to be at a school in Gambia. It's very much a two-way thing for our project, which is really exciting.
