Children or young people will experience a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Here they can play, learn, accept being taught and form trusting relationships with adults and peers
(Service Standards for Children and Young People - 2nd Edition 2008)

Our aim is to help to develop the children’s emotional and physical well-being and we pride ourselves on our ongoing assessment of their needs and adaptation of our services to meet those needs. We have an Internal Case Conferencing system that ensures integrated oversight of all areas of our work. The result for the child is they are held and nurtured by staff who provide the highest levels of consistency of care education and treatment.

We encourage children to grow and learn through the development of healthy relationships with individuals and through intensive work in groups.

A school nurse is responsible for ensuring children’s individual health care needs are identified in treatment plans. An individual psychotherapy assessment for all children is undertaken and program of support implemented. Health issues that relate to ethnicity are fully assessed in respect to each child.
